Mycle’s Story
Mycle is walking across America again!! In honor of Bob Miller, Mycle’s Miller Miles Walk begins on June 24, 2017 at Rockaway Beach, Oregon and will conclude at Rockaway Beach, New York next year. In honor of the men and women who sacrifice so much for our freedom, Mycle is walking for the Wounded Warriors Project and the Brain Injury Association of America. As a brain injury and four time stroke survivor, he is on a mission to spread hope to those in recovery and more importantly, assist in stroke prevention and preventing brain injury and to encourage people to “Walk to Your Mailbox Today…. Walk Past Your Mailbox Tomorrow”. Mycle will visit all major hospitals along the route and meet directly with recent survivors. He hopes to inspire them to keep going: there is Life After Stroke and brain injury!! We need your support! Please donate now.
Mycle walks with a cane, from city to city visiting survivors at hospitals throughout the country. He shows them there is life after stroke or brain injury and when you keep up with your recovery exercises, like walking, your life will get better. He has walked over 7,000 miles to help inspire others who will, in turn, inspire others! The domino effect.
Wounded Warrior Project
The Wounded Warrior Project serves veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound, co-incident to their military service on or after September 11, 2001 and their families. On that date, America watched in horror as approximately 3,000 people died, including hundreds of firefighters and rescue workers. Many warriors note a sense of duty to volunteer for the military following these tragic events.
Brain Injury Association of America
Our Mission is to advance awareness, research, treatment, and education and to improve the quality of life for all individuals impacted by brain injury. Through advocacy, we bring help, hope and healing to millions of individuals living with brain injury, their families and the professionals who serve them.
